Jen on a Jet Plane

It takes listeners on a trip around the globe in 12 Trips in 12 Months, defying societal expectations of what a woman is supposed to be—and empowering others to do the same.

After more ghostings than a graveyard, tired of dating apps and sitting in a windowless office, Jen embarked on an epic challenge to send her twenties out in style.

Twelve months, twelve trips, no excuses.

She started booking flights instead of swiping right, teaching English online to cover costs.

What an amazing book! Jen is honest, open, and straightforward! This book empowers women of every age, race, and ethnicity to challenge themselves and create a world full of excitement and adventure through the joys of travel. I absolutely love this book and couldn’t put it down. And now I am inspired as well! No longer will I wait for someone to travel with, but I will take the challenge to find happiness and joy in my own solo travel adventures!
As an about to retire lawyer, I’m always drawn to memoirs by other lawyers who realize they don’t want to be confined to an office; that, in fact, they want to travel the world. Jen takes us along on her trips as well as on a parallel journey where she finds that she must learn to love herself before she can find a satisfying life partner. I found the book to be very engaging and I read it in one day. (The silver lining of being confined to a hospital bed.)
The writing is beautiful. It didn’t feel like I was in a book but hearing stories being told by a girlfriend over a glass of wine.

It was honest and fresh.

I am so happy for you and all that you’ve built. I cannot wait for more adventures and hopefully more books!
Reading this book, I was vicariously living through Jen’s stories of her year abroad. I could see the cafes she described and the people she met. I felt inspired throughout the book to plan my own solo trip and now have confidence with tips throughout the book to do it.
Jen captures the thrill of traveling, along with the fears, and still convinces the reader to get out and see the world. This is inspiring and even though it’s about a single woman traveling alone, it’s an enjoyable book no matter what your relationship status may be.
Such a great book from beginning to end. I read it in one day because the story is so captivating, real and raw that I couldn’t put the book down. This is a great read for women of all ages in all stages of life, some parts will feel so relatable in some way.
Jen is such a great storyteller. At times, I felt like I was right there with her. Her authentic story really resonates with me. This is a book I could not put down!
I enjoy travel memoirs and when this was recommended for me, I figured I’d give it a shot. I absolutely loved it. I read it in two days and was totally hooked. It was very well written, nicely paced and gave me some great ideas for trips.
